Harry Reid sat for an interview with Alan Colmes which aired on "Hannity and Colmes" on Fox News channel last night. Since Sean Hannity did not participate in this interview, Alan Colmes lobbed a bunch of softball questions at Harry "Pinky" Reid. It was like two good buddies sitting down for a friendly chat. Harry Reid is so out of touch with Nevada he made a slight error when questioned about last November's election results. For those of you not familiar with Nevada, Clark County (Las Vegas) and Washoe County (Reno) have the largest population of Nevada's 17 counties. In fact, Clark County's total population exceeds the population of the other 16 counties combined. (Clark County = 1,715,337: Total state = 2,410,768: source: Nevada State Web Page) Back to Pinky ... Reid claimed John Kerry won both Clark and Washoe counties yet lost Nevada because of the rural vote going overwhelmingly to Mr. Bush, with at least one of those rural counties voting 90% for Bush. That's just plain wrong. Mr. Kerry did in fact lose 16 of 17 Nevada counties, and not a single one of those rural counties favored Bush by more than 78%. Kerry managed to win Clark county on the strength of well-organized union members and the influx of mostly liberal voting California transplants. If Pinky Reid can't get even a simple and easily verified thing like election returns right, how can he be trusted to get anything else correct? The plain truth of the matter is that Harry Reid is out of touch with Nevada - and out of touch with mainstream America. He's living the high life in his $750,00 condo in D.C. and could care less about Nevada and America. All Pinky ever worries about is winning the next election.
