How much are the Schindlers lawyers making? posted by: Stephen89702 (reply) post date: 03.24.05 (8:39 am) Reply to: SusanofPudlin I have heard through various sources that the main attorneys for the Schindler family are working Pro Bono. I have not been able to confirm this as solid fact. As the Terri Schiavo Trust records are sealed by order of judge Greer, it is impossible to verify the exact amount paid to Mr. Schiavo's lawyers. Felos is not the only attorney employed by Mr. Schiavo. posted by: SusanofPudlin (reply) post date: 03.24.05 (9:13 am) Reply to: Stephen89702 The attorneys for the Schindlers are paid by a Christian Right To Life organization. The Schindlers have taken donations now for years. Last month, as a matter of fact, they were fined $1.000.00 for not properly reporting as a charity. Furthermore, there is a flaw in your logic. Why did Mr. Felos have to get involved in the first place? Because the Schindlers have repeatedly sought to get a different opinion than the one that they choose not to accept. The only way to defend that is to hire an attorney. Why is it alright in your mind for the Schindlers to have legal representation but you would deny Michael and Terry Schiavo that benefit? posted by: Stephen89702 (reply) post date: 03.30.05 (2:23 pm) Reply to: SusanofPudlin Sorry ... with all that has happened I forgot to correct your misstatement about how Felos came to be part of the Schiavo case. He was hired in 1998 or possibly late 1997 by Mr. Schiavo. The Schindler's were not informed of the motion filed in 1998 by Felos to terminate Terri Schivo's life until at least 3 months after the fact. And I don't fault anybody for having an attorney. What I find fault with is Terri Schiavo's trust fund being used to pay for her own death warrant. If Mr. Schiavo wanted Terri dead so badly, he should have used his own money - maybe sold off one of his Mercedes-Benz'. |
